Michael Vidale (Bass)

Originally from Adelaide but now based in Melbourne. Michael has been a driving force on the Australian music scene since 1976.  A highly respected bass player with a career spanning 5 decades. Michael's versatility and groove have seen him perform with a wide array of artists across rock, country, roots and swing.

 

He first made waves with the art-rock outfit Jimmy and The Boys, before going on tour and record extensively with Australian music legends like Slim Dusty and Col Joye. His bass lines have underpinned the sounds of The Whitlam's, Anne Kirkpatrick, Don Walker and The Bushwackers - the latter including a standout performance at Americana Fest in Nashville in 2013.

 

Internationally, Michael has shared stages with acts such as Richard Davies (including a US tour supporting The Flaming Lips in 1996). Red Rivers and The Rocket Tones (European tour 2001), and The Feral Swing Katz, with performances in Nashville and St Louis in 2002. 

 

Alongside collaborations with guitar great Albert Lee and roots outfit Spindrifters, Michael's enduring presence reflects not only his musicianship but also his deep understanding of great songs and timeless live performance.

Dave Egan (Drums) 

Dave Egan has been behind a drum kit since his primary school days, building a remarkable career that spans over 50 years. A highly sought-after freelance and session drummer, Dave’s credits include major professional theatre productions such as CATS, Starlight Express, Joseph, Godspell, Miss Saigon, Beauty and the Beast, Miracle City, Pageant, and Les Misérables.

He’s served with distinction in the Air Command Band of the Royal Australian Air Force and performed with the NSW Police Band. For over two decades, he has been the rhythmic powerhouse of the much-loved party band The Enormous Horns.

​

Dave’s career has taken him across Australia and around the globe, performing for royalty, presidents, and prime ministers.

​

When he's not on stage, he’s known as Sydney’s go-to Drum Doctor—a trusted specialist in drum and percussion repairs. He beats ’em, and treats ’em!
